The Story

You Are a Thief

The valley starves while the lord's chests grow fat. From a cave hideout, you lead a band of thieves who plan to fix that. Smash in, find the keys, grab what you can, and don't push your luck.

"The poor are counting on what you bring back!"

Every room is packed with containers full of gold, keys, and relics. Smash them, grab everything, and try not to get greedy. Race the clock in Heist Mode or play relaxed in Casual Mode.

Hi, I'm Razvan Moraru - a front-end developer turned game maker. I started as a web designer, moved into marketing, and spent the last few years chasing a dream: building my first commercial game.

Thieves & Gold is that game - a medieval loot-heist incremental built with obsessive attention to game feel, compounding progression, and the fantasy of pulling off one more reckless score.

What is Thieves and Gold? add
Thieves and Gold is a single-player incremental heist game. You smash containers, grab loot, secure keys, and try to get out before time and greed turn the run against you.
What's the core gameplay loop? add
Each run sends you through a short chain of treasure rooms where you break containers, collect gold, build combo value, and hunt for the keys needed to complete the heist. Between runs, you return to the Hideout and Town to bank gold, grow your crew, and invest in upgrades that make future runs stronger.
What makes it different? add
The game is built around greed as pressure. Loot is not just your reward - collecting too much also pushes your greed meter higher, and if it fills completely, the run ends. That creates a constant risk-reward choice between cashing out safely or going for one more big grab.
How do you win a run? add
The current main objective is to secure 3 keys before the run collapses under pressure. A run can fail if time runs out or if greed fills completely. In Casual Mode the greed mechanic is removed.
How does progression work? add
Successful runs feed permanent progression through gold, XP, upgrades, crew growth, traditions, and town assignments. You can hire thieves, level them up, retire them into lasting bonuses, and shape your build through upgrades focused on things like loot value, combo duration, greed resistance, and stronger thief support.
Does the crew matter during gameplay? add
Yes. One assigned thief can actively support the player during a heist, for example by helping collect loot or damaging containers. Outside the run, your crew also drives long-term progression through training, retirement bonuses, and town jobs.
What kind of experience should players expect? add
This is not a quiet stealth game. Thieves and Gold is about being an audacious treasure thief: smash fast, grab faster, and decide how greedy you can afford to be before the whole heist turns on you.

Yes, Thieves and Gold is a single-player experience.
